Choosing the right marked deck for card magic

For magic marked cards, identify the reading method before comparing finish or price. Visual reader, infrared/optical and side-barcode formats are distinct; the label marked cards alone does not establish how a deck is read.

Our catalog lists the InfraMax Infrared Marked Deck (TCP-INF-DEC-02) for compatible luminous contact lenses and the Side-Barcode Marked Playing Cards (TCP-BAR-DEC-03) for compatible analyzer systems. These are first-party catalog descriptions, not handling-test results or proof that the listed products work together.

Confirm stock, finish, cut direction, dimensions and care instructions for the exact SKU and edition. Ask for the required lens, scanner or software version, included items, current availability and replacement-card terms before approving a quote; similar-looking decks are not automatically interchangeable.

Keep known training samples separate from standard decks. For inspection context, the marked card detection guide explains why visible wear or printing variation alone does not establish marking or intent.

For each specification you rely on, keep the source URL or document, its date and the exact SKU or edition it describes. A seller's description records a first-party claim; a photograph shows only the depicted sample's visible features; an independent handling test supports only the sample and conditions actually tested. None establishes an unlisted pairing. If sources disagree, request a dated clarification before ordering. Keep the confirmed item list and supporting documents with the quote so a later substitution or revision can be reviewed.
